We
are located in Wellston, Michigan deep with in the heart of the
Manistee
National forest on the Backwaters of Tippy Dam, our backwaters hold
good
numbers of pike, walleye, catfish, bass, and all species of pan fish,
plus
rainbow trout or brown trout. There are several activities
you can
enjoy directly from the Loomis Landing property, fish, hunt, camp,
hike,
bike, boat, pontoon, canoe, kayak, & hunt for the tasty morel
mushrooms
in the spring, or just relax and take in all the peace and quiet that
only
natures beauty provides. We are at the mouth of the Pine River, a class
II whitewater system for the canoe or kayaking enthusiast, and also a
blue
ribbon trout stream for the fisherman, holding good numbers of brown
trout
and rainbow trout. As also does the Manistee River system at the north
end of our backwaters. If you are looking to hook into a big Salmon or
Steelhead, then the famous Tippy Dam and the Big Manistee River are
just
down the road. So whatever your outdoor desires are, you can be
confident
that we can guide you in the right direction!!
